Food Pantry
Girard Community Food Pantry with support from the Ministerial Alliance- hosted by First Christian Church.
Recipient Eligibility
There is no registration and no one will be turned away. The food pantry is located at the Presbyterian Church- On the corner of N. Summit and Walnut, near the Town Square.

Monday and Wednesday 10am-12pm
1st and 4th Thursday of the Month 3-5pm

Items Available
Canned goods- fruits, vegetables, beans and a variety of soups.  Canned meats such as tuna and chicken.
Pastas; spaghetti and noodles, mac & cheese, Raman noodles. Box sides such as scalloped potatoes and rice mixes. Peanut butter and jelly. Variety of baking mixes. Juices and cereals. …and much more!
Our food supply and funds are donated through food drives and collections at the local schools, Boy Scouts, businesses, area Churches, and the citizens of Girard. When supplies are low, food is purchased from local supporting merchants. Donations for the food pantry are always welcome and appreciated.
Fresh Food vouchers are available upon request. Food vouchers have some restrictions; and are to be used at G&W Foods- Girard grocery store.
All Ministerial Alliance Pastors have access to the food pantry.
Call 620-724-8910 or contact a local church clergy for an appointment to the food pantry. We work in partnership with the Clothes Closet; they also can assist in contacting the Food Pantry. 

The Clothes Closet
The Clothes Closet, located at 103 W. Buffalo in Girard, is operated by Christian Women United and offers clean used clothing at reasonable prices.  The hours are M, W, F, 10-2, and Saturday, 10 - noon.  Gift certificates are available.
